In April of 2023, Build Inc. surrendered the deed for the site to their bank in lieu of foreclosure. When, or if, it will be developed is now an open question with no firm answers. If developed, One Oak will occupy the area along Market St. from 1500 – 1540 Market St. and will be home to between 300 and 400 homes in what you’ll either think of as Hayes Valley or The Hub at Market neighborhood.
The development site is adjacent to the The Oak at 55 Oak/1554 Market St new construction. The Oak began sales before terminating them and sitting empty.
